You can’t figure this stuff out from the outside.

I would also add a warning to Alan’s statement for those of you who go to educational technology conferences.  NEVER listen to a presenter or keynote that has not been immersed in the environment that they are talking about.  You will be misinformed.

This series of videos which appears on via Danah Boyd on apophenia is very interesting and provocative.

I created a Scratch game by building off the game of another user. The information on how to embed Scratch projects into your blog is here.

This particular game was created as a humorous (my own brand) response to a podcast that I had just listened to at PDTOGO.com

Small ScratchScratch is a free software application that allows anyone to program, create and share animated stories, video games, and artwork. The software was created by Mitchell Resnick at MIT’s Media Lab.

You can download and review the software at http://scratch.mit.edu/ There has been some heavy traffic to the website, so keep trying. There is also a screenshot of the web site, if you are interested in getting the feel of how users share there content – found here.

An introductory video posted on YouTube.

The mainstream media can’t seem to get enough about Internet Safety, Facebook, and Cyberbullying.  I was recently quoted in the Globe and Mail on the topic of Internet safety, although there were some inaccuracies.

There is also an Omni2 television segment appearing tomorrow evening on the topic of Cyberbullying that I did with two other members of the Academic ICT team from the TCDSB at 6:00 to 7:00 and 11:00 to 12:00. I’m not sure what type of spin there will be on  the story, but from my other experiences with media they are looking for good quotes and hype rather than substance and strategy.  You never know though, I could be surprised.

If you do get a chance to see the video segment or something stands out in the article I would appreciate your thoughts and feedback.
